Moroso – M’AFRIQUE Collection

Brand: Moroso

As part of the “M’Afrique” project, Patrizia Moroso (artistic director of the eponymous brand) invited artists (designers, architects, photographers) to convey the strength and beauty of Africa through their works. 
Designers Sebastian Herkner, Patricia Urquiola and Tord Boontje joined in by creating a collection of outdoor furniture inspired by the creative language and culture of Africa. The result is a unique collection, at once exuberant, rich in humanity and full of vitality.

M’Afrique is a perfect synthesis between tradition and modernity: each piece of the collection is handmade by local craftsmen in a Senegalese workshop created by Moroso. The poufs and seaters are made using coloured polyethylene threads, hand-woven on a tubular structure in lacquered steel.
