Brand: DCW Editions
Our DCW selection consists of:
LA LAMPE GRAS. At its outset, DCW began by producing the work of the inventor Bernard-Albin Gras. Much lauded at the time by Le Corbusier and Henri Matisse, the GRAS lamp is the 20th Century’s first articulated lamp and the starting point for modern lighting. It is robust, stable and has a moving source of light thanks to a mechanism of the highest precision. Lampe GRAS is available as table lamps, architect lamps (with a base), floor and wall lamps.
Julien Porché’s SURPIL chair is a study in elegance. The chair is light, chic, discreet and stackable.
HERE COMES THE SUN was the product of a chance meeting between Bertrand Balas, the lamp’s designer, and DCW. The result is a re-edition of his stunning suspension from the 70s. While these pendants are sculptural as objects, their real value becomes apparent when lit.
IN THE TUBE. DCW Editions has recently branched out into more contemporary and innovative lighting with the production of IN THE TUBE by the architects Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost. Made from ultra hi-tech tubing, they look as though they might have escaped from the set of a James Bond film or a Jules Verne novel.
