WET SERGE
When 13-year-old Serge Mouille (1922-1988) decided to attend the School of Applied Arts in Paris, no one imagined that the school’s youngest student would soon become a master metallurgist and one of the creators of the most famous lights of the 50s.
His lamps, with their slender silhouettes, bold monochrome palette and anthropomorphic shades are highly sought after today by those who love the artisanal feel of Mouille’s lighting.
Due to the proliferation of Serge Mouille lighting counterfeits, his spouse Gin Mouille decided to introduce a new edition originally designed in the early 1950s. Shades are produced using molds, proportions, materials and original techniques. Only 600 pieces from the entire collection are produced each year and exported worldwide.
Each piece is stamped, numbered and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
